Sankalp give you an opportunity to volunteer work in beautiful Himalayan region through Dharamsala volunteer programs to see the lives of Himalayan people and an opportunity to develop greater cultural, community and educational awareness for them. The volunteers can participate in Teaching English & Computer education program, women empowerment Program, Child care and Sports development activities.
Dharamsala is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley. Dharamsala over looks the plains and is surrounded by dense pine trees and Deodar forests. A nearby snowline with numerous streams and cool healthy atmosphere makes the surroundings very attractive. Dharamsala is now the seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. After the Chinese conquest of his country, Dharamsala is evocative of the imperial days in places like McLeodganj and Forsytheganj. Dharamsala is the headquarters of the Kangra district.

Food & Accommodation
During the placement, the volunteer will stay with the local family as a family member. The volunteer will be provided separate room which is to be shared with other volunteers. The host family will serve three meals a day. The host family will serve fresh meals. You have to clean your room and wash room own your own. Living with the Indian family will prove for you the best track of learning the India tradition, culture and behavior without much cost and efforts.
Basic Itinerary
Day 01 (Saturday) Delhi (if pickup included from Delhi airport)
Arrival in Delhi, pickup and depart to Jaipur, its 5 hrs by road
Day 02 (Sunday) Jaipur
Program orientation and free for individual activities
Day 03 (Monday) Overnight journey to Dharamsala
Train to Dharamsala at 04:00pm from Jaipur railway station
Day 04 (Tuesday) Arrival in Dharamshala
Arrival in Dharamsala around 11:00am and transfer to host family
Day 05: (Wednesday) Volunteer work
